Felipe de Alba is EURIAS fellow at the Collegium de Lyon. He was previously postdoctoral fellow under Diane E. Davis supervision at the MIT (now she is in Harvard University).
He is an urbanist and a political scientist specialised on issues of governance and governability in Mexico. His work focuses on new citizenship practices and state restructuring in Mexico since the 1980s. Felipe has created the Continental network on informality in metropolises (RECIM in French www.recim.info), to which I have been associated since 2008. In recent years, he has co-published with J.A. Boudreau (2010), and has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles.
